A lively and spectacular setting with local wineries and caterers displaying their fabulous food and wine all in one location. Great crowds congregate on the stretch of lawn overlooking the magnificent Murray River. Indulge in sensational Riverland wine complemented with fresh, regional produce presented by local restaurants and hotels.

Participating wineries include:

Angoves, Banrock Station, Berri Estate, Kingston Estate, Omersown, 919 Wines, Torambre Nissen Hut Wines, Illalangi, Thachi, Yalumba Oxford Landing and this year microbrewer Woolshed Brewery will be joinng us with their amber brew, Amazon Ale.

Participating food providers will be:

Berri Resort Hotel, Illalangi, Loxton Club, Malley Fowl Restaurant, Pego's Woodfired Pizzas, Renmark Hotel and Waikerie Hotel.

Sheepdog Trials

October 16th – 18th.

Friday 9am to 4pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday: 9am to 4pm

The Barmera Sheep Dog trial event will feature locally produced beer along with various local meats cooked on barbeques overlooking the trial arena.

Held on the Barmera oval located at the end of Barmera's main street, Border Collie working dogs from South Australia and interstate will compete to move three sheep through an obstacle course within 15 minutes.

Other entertainment includes ute parade of finalists, skydivers and sheep chariot races and spectator involvement with “Walk with the Judge” segment.

Free Admission, so come along and enjoy the Beef, Beer and Border Collie spectacular.

Steve Everingham Art Exhibition “River-lands”

Steve Everingham is offering a collection of paintings for exhibition. This collection is based on Riverland themes being community identities and environmental connections.  The paintings are a representation of the here and now with artistic licence applied, captured in oils and watercolours, within the labyrinth of this times life journey.
Steve is the proprietor of the Goanna Hill Gallery and resident artist at Paringa.

Rose Week official opening

Join the carnival atmosphere with the Farmer’s Market Stalls and breakfast from 7.30am to celebrate the opening of the 15th year of the Rose Festival. The official opening ceremony will be at 10am, then take a short walk to view the spectacular floral display at the Renmark Institute.

Rustons’s Rose Garden

Take a tour and smell the roses at Ruston’s Rose Garden with 40,000 bushes and nearly 4,000 varieties. Their fully licensed, air-conditioned café offers morning and afternoon tea as well as lunches. Their gift shop includes a wide range of works by local artists and their collection of classic and historic racing and touring cars will keep the whole family happy.
